Hi-Rail

The east waiting room of the Depot features a fully sceniced multiple track Hi-Rail O Scale layout that was built in 1999. This layout succeeded an earlier layout that had been built in the 1980’s. Above it is a loop of G (Garden) scale track for those members interested in large scale trains.

HO Scale

The current display was started in December 2000 in the original freight room to replace an outdated one that was 30 years old. The new display is double decked and was constructed with metal studs, masonite spline roadbed and various scenery techniques of scenes roughly depicting the area between Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

It is a single track operation powered by Digitrax DCC with long passing sidings and branch lines serving the steel and logging industries. The logging branch also features narrow gauge operations. As is the case of most model railroads, scenery work is ongoing with some scenes completed, and others in various stages of development. Currently we are adding signaling on the layout.

N Scale

Our newest addition, the N-Scale display was begun in 2006 and is a double-track display located in the main waiting room of our depot. This display also succeeds an earlier one started in the 1990’s. The scenery continues to improve, with work progressing raplidly by an active group of interested club members
